Program Overview
Manufacturing Career Pathway
Brief DescriptionThe Manufacturing Career Pathway provides students with a hands-on, career-focused introduction to the modern manufacturing industry and related trades. Students initially explore the fundamentals of manufacturing processes, technologies, and workplace practices while gaining insight into career opportunities in manufacturing, automotive technology, and auto body repair. This exploratory experience helps students understand the skills, tools, and safety procedures essential to the field. Building on this foundation, the advanced manufacturing courses allow students to focus on three chosen areas of interest, applying their knowledge through real-world experiences in a manufacturing facility. Students develop advanced technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and industry-specific competencies that enhance their employability in manufacturing and skilled trades. Successful completion of the full sequence can qualify students for a 200-hour Pre-Apprenticeship Certification from the State of Connecticut, preparing them for direct entry into the workforce or further technical training.
